Kolkata colleges: will it open or not? Check it out!

West Bengal colleges and University students were waiting for today as the Education Minister of  West Bengal, Partha Chatterjee and VCs of colleges were meeting to discuss whether colleges will open or not? But there is good news for all Students that all colleges will remain closed till Feb end and Odd semester exam will be conducted via online mode. 

Classes will be online as going regularly. Students can ask questions by their teacher via WhatsApp, Gmail, Google Classroom, in the online class, and so on. If they have doubt then they can clear their doubt by questioning their college staff.

Protest by students for not opening of colleges

Many students were doing protest for not opening colleges, Educational Minister had listened to their views and not open the colleges till Feb end. Students were worried about Covid-19 as it doesn't come in control. The vaccine has come into use for several people like the front warrior. Many of the students and their parents are afraid of Covid-19 and don't want to send their children to colleges. Parents only want their children safe and in this situation opening the college may infect the student who will approach to reach the college. 

College's student comes from different places and lives in a hostel. So many students will come from different places and live in the same hostel which can be dangerous in this pandemic. Therefore, Students were doing protest for not opening colleges.

Lab work for the student

Students of colleges have to do practical things as many of them are studying for professional purposes. Some student wants to see their college open as they want to learn lab work but Partha Chatterjee has only open colleges for lab work for students who are researcher's, who are doing M Sc, PhD and many post-graduate courses. So they can do lab work in a group and have to come to colleges when their colleges will permit them.

Practical lab help students to understand their chapter easily and thoroughly. It will help them for their working in the company or fieldwork where they need practical knowledge more than theoretical knowledge. They need to have patience in pandemics so that every student could take advantage of the lab without getting affected by Covid-19.

Examination of the odd semester in colleges 

The examination will be conducted via online mode in two ways either a home-based assignment or online based test. Students should prepare for their semester and do online classes daily. they should keep solving their assignment and make notes so that they have ease at the last moment. As Partha Chatterjee had cleared the doubt of examination how it will be held?

All students should take care of themselves in this pandemic and start preparing for exams as per the schedule given by their college. They can collect books from their college's library by visiting there with the permission of their college committee or HOD. They could also learn via youtube as many topics and sub-topic are explained clearly and solved questions can give you clue how to answer in the examination.
